Desmond Bishop
Desmond Lamont Bishop (born July 24, 1984) is an American former professional football linebacker. He played college football for the University of California, Berkeley, and was selected by the Green Bay Packers in the sixth round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He won Super Bowl XLV with the Packers over the Pittsburgh Steelers. Bishop also played for the Minnesota Vikings and San Francisco 49ers.
In Green Bay, Bishop quickly became a key contributor to the Packers' defense. He started to see significant playing time in his second season and established himself as a hard-hitting and versatile linebacker.1 His breakout season came in 2010, when he recorded 118 tackles, 5.5 sacks, and two interceptions. His strong play that year earned him a Pro Bowl selection.
